Supply Chain Decarbonization, International Governance, and Technology Empowerment: How HULANE Precision is Shaping its Sustainable Competitiveness?

As the automotive industry chain accelerates its restructuring, sustainability is no longer an optional advantage, but a core threshold for whether a company can establish a firm foothold in international markets. Facing the challenges brought by electrification and intelligentization—such as energy consumption, material selection, supply chain transparency, and cross-border compliance requirements—HULANE Precision is responding to this transformation with a more comprehensive strategy.

From supply chain carbon management and international governance frameworks to global technology output and industrial empowerment, HULANE Precision regards sustainability as the most critical competitiveness for the next stage of corporate development.

01|Starting from Product Carbon Footprints: 75–80% of Carbon Emissions Come from the Supply Chain

In its latest greenhouse gas and product carbon footprint inventory, HULANE Precision identified a key data point:

Carbon emissions from the raw material stage account for approximately 75%–80% of the total.

This means that carbon reduction efforts within the company itself can only solve about 30% of the problem. To truly move toward net zero, HULANE Precision’s product manufacturing must increase the proportion of renewable energy usage year by year and must collaborate closely across the entire supply chain.

Therefore, HULANE Precision has defined supply chain decarbonization as one of the most important cores of its sustainability strategy, with the goal not only of achieving emissions management, but of driving a low-carbon upgrade across the entire automotive components ecosystem.

02|Building Measurable, Trackable, and Implementable Carbon Reduction Mechanisms: Launch of the Supplier Sustainability Management Platform

In 2024, HULANE officially launched the Supplier Sustainability Management Platform program, and in 2025 invited:

172 key suppliers to join the platform.

The value of this platform lies not in “advocacy,” but in “management.”

Platform functions include:

  1. Data Validation: Verification of the accuracy of suppliers’ ESG assessment results
  2. Execution Tracking: Tracking annual carbon reduction progress
  3. Management Advisory: Providing improvement strategies aligned with industry requirements
  4. Responsible Sourcing: Strengthening suppliers’ labor, human rights, and environmental requirements

Through standardized processes and platform-based tools, HULANE ensures carbon reduction transcends being a “slogan,” evolving into measurable, verifiable, and manageable indicators.

In the future, the platform will continue to expand its scope of participation year by year, gradually connecting the entire supply chain into a sustainability management ecosystem.

03|Sustainability Is Not Only About Carbon Reduction: Technology Empowerment Is HULANE’s Commitment to Global Markets

Sustainability also means that technology must become more efficient, more energy-saving, and more economical. Through strategic investments and technical cooperation in the Chinese and European markets, HULANE Precision outputs three key capabilities:

1. Standardization of Development Processes

Introducing R&D processes accumulated at the Taiwan headquarters, and investing in standard analysis for material recycling and reuse, to assist local supply chains in entering the automotive sustainability system more quickly.

2. Alignment of Quality Systems

Leveraging HULANE’s long-accumulated automotive-grade quality management experience to strengthen the stability of local suppliers.

These technological outputs go beyond mere commercial cooperation; they represent key pathways toward a more efficient and lower-carbon global supply chain.

3. Process and Management Know-how

Including tooling, materials, process parameters, and inspection methods, enhancing the overall manufacturing capability of the supply chain and reducing the carbon content of product carbon footprints.

These technological outputs go beyond mere commercial cooperation;they are critical pathways for driving the global supply chain toward increased efficiency and reduced carbon footprints.

04|International Governance Frameworks in Place: Making Sustainability a Core Part of Corporate Operations

To ensure that sustainability does not become an empty slogan, HULANE Precision has started from its governance structure to establish “institutionalized sustainability”:

  1. Establishment of a Chief Governance Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer, responsible for overseeing corporate governance, sustainability policies, cross-border compliance, and climate risk management.
  2. Establishment of sustainability-related professional committees under the Board of Directors, supporting sustainability decisions at the corporate governance level and making them an important operational indicator.

Adoption of International Standards: GRI / IFRS / SASB / TCFD

HULANE Precision complies with global investor and industry requirements, including:

  1. GRI Sustainability Disclosure Standards
  2. IFRS S1–S2 General Requirements & the impact of climate change on financial statements
  3. SASB (Industry-specific Sustainability Disclosure Standards)
  4. TCFD climate-related financial disclosure risks (transition risks, physical risks) and opportunities (climate opportunities)

These international sustainability frameworks comprehensively enhance HULANE’s sustainability reporting, decision-making transparency, and readiness for cross-border operations, while ensuring seamless alignment with global industry standards.

05|Sustainability as Competitiveness, Not a Burden

Whether in supply chain decarbonization, international technology empowerment, or governance system construction, HULANE Precision’s sustainability strategy points to the same direction:

Making sustainability a source of long-term corporate competitiveness, rather than a burden.

Through a comprehensive layout from raw material sources to cross-border collaboration, HULANE Precision is gradually establishing:

  1. A more transparent supply chain
  2. More efficient R&D and manufacturing processes
  3. A more mature sustainability governance system
  4. Enhanced resilient cross-border operational capabilities

At a time when the automotive industry is facing a once-in-a-century transformation, sustainability is both a challenge and a driving force that enables enterprises to continue moving forward in the global market.
